Forgot one - had a senior moment. Had a 1940 something AJS 500cc single in 1960. Bought it at a junk yard for $35. Got it running good but never bothered to fix the brakes. Yep, took me 10 years to get back on a bike again after the lady ran the stop sign and I couldn't stop.
